Peanut Butter Love, Double Work Out & A Lesson

I woke up this morning after a nice little Sunday sleep in, ready to head to Victoria for some shopping with my sister. However, the cold/flu bug that's going around has stopped at my house (I have a feeling I'll be catching it again, but my fingers are crossed that I don't), so that plan was put on hold. I had already completed a twenty minute weights work out, showered, and had breakfast on the go, so I was stumped on what I should do for the rest of the day. For the majority of the morning, or until 11 anyway, I just sat on the couch watching The Gilmore Girls with Sarah and enjoying my breakfast. I made a batch of chocolate protein oats with banana and peanut butter, then enjoyed an almond milk latte to wake myself up. Mmm, peanut butter. I look forward to it every morning!

Okay, so what next? I have been slacking on my running since Thursday (my dad laughed: "That's not slacking." No, dad, it is), so I decided to get up and get some miles in. It was a great morning for a run, that's for sure! Not too cold, and I felt good. Well, in the beginning, anyway. Since I did weights this morning, my legs felt sore. I felt like the faster I ran, the more likely my legs were going to fall off. Note: Legs are still attached. I completed four miles at an average pace of 8:10/mile. Not too shabby!

My weights workout this morning looked a little somethin' like this:
*I used 10 pound dumbbells for all weighted exercises*

- 1 minute plank
- 1 minute bridge hold
- 3 x 10 stiff legged deadlifts
- 3 x 10 bicep curls
- 3 x 10 shoulder presses
- 3 x 10 donkey kicks (each leg)
- 50 squats (30 wide legged, 20 regular)
- 3 x 20 weighted oblique bends
- 3 x 10 Russian twists
- 3 x 10 double leg extensions (pilates)

Aaaand stretch for ten minutes! Hopefully this will prevent me from getting TWO CHARLIE HORSES AGAIN TONIGHT aaaaaahhh. Capital letters because it was a super painful moment. Traumatic, I tell ya.

I have 25 days to get in 106 miles. Is that doable? I think yes! I will try darn hard to reach that again, at least. I mean I could settle for 105, but why not aim high, right?

After running and showering and debating what I wanted to have for lunch, I conjured up this beauty:

Roasted veggies with chickpeas, two over-easy eggs, and hemp seeds. I sprinkled a bunch of spices on top and squeezed some fresh lemon juice as well rather than using a sauce. It was delicious!

Anyway, I have been lazing around in my housecoat for far too long, so I should probably get up and moving before I can't get off the couch ever again!

Have a good day everyone :)
